The conversion from ANDI to Salesforce/Ascend will be a two-fold project: As we work to implement an entirely new suite of technologies, we will also be managing significant changes in our everyday operations, changes that will affect every person in the UT Foundation. Nearly every job we do — prospect development, stewardship, gift processing, email marketing, reporting, online giving, web content management, and on and on — will look significantly different by the end of 2023.

As an important first step in our organizational change management, we contracted with Huron Consulting for an eight-week engagement to identify, map (current state), and plan (future state) our key business processes. Huron is an industry leader, with deep experience in higher education and technology transformations, including conversions from Ellucian Advance (ANDI) to Salesforce/Ascend.

Process planning is a three-step exercise: a 90-minute discussion of the current process and pain points, followed by documentation and then a 60-minute discussion of how the process will likely be transformed by our new technologies.
