Profile – Toni Holford
Senior Alumni Assistant
Alumni Affairs, UTK
My position includes . . .
Providing administrative support to a variety of key UT Knoxville alumni programs, including Young Alumni, Chancellor’s Associates, Athletics-related events, and all activities coordinated by the Center for Student Alumni Programs.
When I grew up I wanted to be . . .
A pilot, a teacher, a psychologist…I think I knew at an early age that my future was in God’s hands. I just knew I wanted to travel and help people. I let Him decide what that would look like.
If I was gifted with a secret power it would be . . .
The ability to fly. I’d love to be able to travel anywhere I wanted at a moment’s notice and not have to stand in line at the airport (or pay for airline tickets).
My job is . . .
To assist those who are on the front-lines working with our university’s incredible alumni and students.
To understand what I do, you must understand . . .
The importance of keeping alumni engaged and helping students understand the importance of giving back to the university.
I advance the mission of the university by . . .
Helping to educate alumni and students on the importance of giving back to their alma mater through targeted programming and by promoting servant leadership.
My life mantra is . . .
I am becoming the best version of myself. I am growing smarter, wiser, and more enlightened. Steadily, I excel in everything I do. I am evolving. –Dr. Carmen Harra
My theme song is . . .
“Respect” by Aretha Franklin.
I learned the meaning of giving from . . .
My mom. She is the most selfless person I’ve ever met. Watching her give to others so freely has always challenged me to be a more generous person.
Few know that I . . .
Hate being the center of attention but love participating in productions.
